What do you love most about working at iDocket?

What does a typical workday look like in your role?
- Morning planning meeting followed by development work.
- The morning starts off with the daily standup meeting where we discuss everyone's current tasks. Then I continue working on my current projects. I'll offer support on occasion when I'm needed. Overall the days tend to pass quickly for me as I'm always focused on a task and time just flies by.
How have you developed your skills through your time here?
- I was hired straight out of college as a support specialist, and over time I was able to improve my skills in not only providing great customer service but also in programming, which is my main role now. I've learned new technologies and overall continue to become a better programmer.
- Fellow employees always motivate me and are willing to teach me new things. I have also learned to work independently, problem-solving and digging into the issue myself.
- Working with team members and clients has improved my knowledge of the court system and helped me pick up new programming practices.
- I have learned: how to work independently and as a team, mentorship skills, and leadership based on communication with other people.
How would you describe your work life to a friend?
- Rewarding.
- I am always learning something new and every day presents a new challenge to tackle.
- Personally, I couldn't ask for a better work-life balance. It's a privilege that I have been allowed to continue working while also taking care of my son, who is my first child.

Tell us something about your role or the company that people might not expect.
- My role includes extended periods of no coding. Planning takes place during those breaks.
- There’s a steep learning curve, making some tasks more difficult than they seem.

- Working with clients and figuring out issues.

What does a typical workday look like in your role?
- Taking calls and assigning support tickets.
- Working with clients to help resolve any issues they’re having.

- I have learned every day since I got hired; each day is a new learning experience.

How would you describe your work life to a friend?
- Its great and the work environment is relaxed; you can get a lot accomplished.

- I have direct communication with the owner of the company at all times.
- Building a rapport with clients is very important.

- Everyone is willing to help.
- Protecting our customers’ products and the usability of the system.

What does a typical workday look like in your role?
- Start off the day with a morning meeting with the development team and then testing the rest of the day.
- Checking QA’s team performance, checking pull requests, checking programmers’ code, etc.
- Start with a meeting and then testing all day; some days there are random calls in between.
How have you developed your skills through your time here?
- Planning, testing techniques, and knowing how to handle a big system.
- I feel like I Have a better understanding of the actual programming that goes into industry compared to what we did in school.
- Because it is a smaller organization, I wear many hats which is amazing if you want to learn how to do everything and anything in a software development environment.
How would you describe your work life to a friend?
- It’s fun when I test code and I’m always documenting everything. Every day is busy.
- Working at a startup that sometimes feels like a Fortune 500.
- Work-life is good. I get to learn for a living as a QA Engineer.
Tell us something about your role or the company that people might not expect.
- Testing requires a lot of documentation and it can take a significant amount of time to test everything properly.
- You will have lots of meetings with Development in order to review code with them or go over an issue.
