Chief Operating Officer

This is a permanent remote-work position for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is one of the highest-ranking executives within iDocket and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Your expertise will be applied to help iDocket produce better services and products while simultaneously reducing costs and increasing profits. You will oversee and direct the efforts of ensuring that the systems in place to design, develop, and maintain iDocket’s products are performing optimally. You will collaborate with the CEO to envision company goals as well as play a key role in planning strategies to meet those long- and short-term agendas. Furthermore, you will mentor and train iDocket's Senior Operations Manager and the Operations Managers for each product. As iDocket continues to grow as a company, your role may expand to include the following:

  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of iDocket and its staff in meeting objectives and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
  • Direct or coordinate iDocket’s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
  • Confer with stakeholders, iDocket officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.
  • Direct, plan, and implement the policies, objectives, and activities to ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments, and to increase productivity.
  • Direct and coordinate departmental activities concerned with production, pricing, sales, and implementation of products.
  • Negotiate and approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal or state agencies, or other organizational entities.
  • Review reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
  • Preside over or serve on boards of directors, management committees, or other governing boards.
  • Direct human resources activities, including the approval of human resource plans or activities, the selection of directors or other high-level staff, or establishment or organization of major departments.
  • Coordinate the development or implementation of budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, or other administrative control processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of work experience.
  • Project management certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles; is a recognized expert.
  • Strong background in management principles and theory.
  • Able to analyze the relative costs and benefits of potential actions in order to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Able to lead and direct the work of others, as well as provide mentoring and training to junior employees.
  • Able to foster teamwork.
  • Willing and able to understand the overall strategic goals of the company and has a vast knowledge of the industry.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Experienced in management.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to develop solutions to complicated issues using abstract thinking in new or complex situations.
  • Achieves success using his/her ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others internally or externally.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with technical and business teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree or higher.
  • Previous experience with SaaS industries.
  • Previous experience as a COO.
